Olivia received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education with a concentration in Environmental Studies. She then received her Master of Arts degree in Communication and Science Disorders- Speech-Language Pathology from Montclair State University. During her time in graduate school, Olivia interned within the public school system and an out-of-district placement where she treated students ages 3-21 with a variety of disorders, such as, articulation disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, visual impairments, traumatic brain injury, and motor speech disorders (i.e., specifically childhood apraxia of speech).
Following her graduation from Montclair State University, Olivia followed her passion for working with school-aged children within the school setting. She is an employee at a private out-of-district school. She treats students ages 3-12 with a variety of diagnoses and disorders, including sensory processing disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, Down Syndrome, Waardenburg Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and hearing impairments. She conducts feeding screenings and AAC evaluations as well as provides students with individual and group therapy. Olivia collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team including occupational therapists, physical therapists, special educators, behavior analysts, audiologists, parents, and caregivers to create IEPs. Additionally, Olivia provides in-depth training to families for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Olivia is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed by the State of New Jersey. She is also certified by the New Jersey Department of Education as a Speech-Language Specialist. Olivia is PROMPT-trained (PROMPTs for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), PECS-trained (Picture Exchange Communication System), NLA-trained (Natural Language Acquisition), and LSVT LOUD for kids-trained (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment). In her free time, Olivia enjoys gardening, spending time with family and friends, snuggling her fur babies, and going to fitness classes.
