Angelica received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Sciences (2015) and her Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Scranton in 2016. She has been part of Creative Speech Solutions since the fall of 2017. Angelica has two children of her own and two dogs at home. One of her dogs is currently in training to become a therapy dog. When she is not working, Angelica is likely to be found outdoors with her family, reading a book, or spending time with close friends and family. Angelica has always had a passion for working with children and using play to help them learn and thrive. She loves to see her clients and students thrive within their natural environments and working with schools and families to do so. She has provided treatment in a variety of pediatric settings, including public schools, private schools, private practices, early intervention, in private ABA centers and in home care. She has experience conducting screenings, detailed evaluations, providing individual and group treatment sessions, and running support groups for parents with children on the autism spectrum. She has also worked alongside a variety of other medical and educational professionals including social workers, school psychologists, BCBA therapists, ABA therapists, physical therapists, learning consultants, and speech pathologists. In her time at Creative Speech Solutions, Angelica has also co-run speech and motor groups with a number of speech pathologists. In addition to treating her own caseload, Angelica serves as the Occupational Therapy Clinical Supervisor and mentors fellow clinicians both in the private practice and school settings. She has experience working with children ranging from 3 months to 22 years of age with a variety of diagnoses including autistic spectrum disorders, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, Downs syndrome, cleft palate, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, learning disabilities, visual perceptual and motor deficits, and developmental delays. She is well versed in the New Jersey school systems and IEPs (Individual Educational Plans), and has also provided consultation services including teacher/parent education, sensory protocols, and home exercise programs.
Angelica has completed continuing education courses in the areas of sensory processing, primitive reflex integration, visual perception, visual processing, pelvic floor therapy, and interoception. She has experience in Handwriting Without Tears®, Therapeutic Listening® and Astronaut Training®. She is certified in The Zones of Regulation®, Interactive Metronome® and Mendability, a form of Sensory Enrichment TherapyTM, and UNYTE’s Integrative Listening System (ILS) previously known as, Focus.
