Anissa is a speech-language pathologist with experience across a variety of pediatric settings, including school-based services for children ages 3–21, pediatric clinics, and early intervention for children ages 1–3. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Kean University and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She has experience evaluating and treating individuals with diverse communication needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, CHARGE Syndrome, and other developmental differences. Anissa utilizes a DIR/Floortime holistic approach to therapy, emphasizing the importance of meeting each child where they are and fostering growth through meaningful, relationship-based interactions. Anissa also has a strong interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and is familiar with systems such as GoTalk, Proloquo2Go, and TouchChat. She values collaboration with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support functional and meaningful communication outcomes. Additionally, she is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and Malayalam.
Outside of work, Anissa enjoys traveling, having visited 10 countries so far, and creating art for her Etsy shop.
